Small Animal Appointment Policy

At Apple Grove Veterinary Care, our team works diligently to provide efficient and thorough veterinary care to all of our clients. To allow ample time for all patients and surgical procedures and to ensure that every patient receives the attention that they deserve, we operate primarily by scheduled appointment. Emergency cases shall receive top priority, which is why an occasional appointment delay is inevitable. Please realize that we make a sincere attempt to see each client on time.

Appointment times are available Monday through Saturday. Evening appointments available Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday until 7pm!

For your convenience, drop-off appointments are available in emergency situations for established patients. A 'drop off' means you could bring your pet at the time that works best for you and leave him or her with us for a portion of the day. Usually we will ask you to drop off in the morning so our veterinarian can examine the patient in between appointments or at the time purposely reserved for admitted patients. Once the doctor is done, he/she will give you a call to go over the diagnosis and to give you discharge instructions.

Leashes & Carriers – Safety for You and Your Pets

Even though we make every effort to make our patients feel comfortable during visits, they may be a little uneasy about new people, new surroundings and other pets. This is one of the reasons we ask you to restrain your pet in and around our premises. We recommend that animals be placed on a leash or in pet carriers before entering the hospital. Dogs being discharged following surgery or anesthesia are required to leave on a leash or in a carrier. Cats being discharged following surgery or anesthesia are required to be transported in a carrier. Inexpensive, reusable cardboard cat carriers are available for clients who need one. Just ask!
